Director
Thomas Wood
Thomas has spent ten years in senior D&B recruitment, building a network that spans commercial, pre-construction and leadership roles across the UK and Europe. Before returning to search, he worked as a Pre Contracts Manager for a mid-sized design and build contractor, giving him a practical understanding of how projects are won, costed and delivered.
That blend of industry and search experience shapes his approach: commercially minded, detail driven and focused on long-term wins for both clients and candidates.

Director
Matthew Lane
Matthew brings extensive experience from senior operational roles within the fit out sector. His career includes long tenures as Operations Director at ISG, Modus Workspace and Stirling Grey, where he oversaw major workplace projects and built high-performing delivery teams.
Matthew’s approach to search is steady, informed and practical. He works closely with clients to identify the calibre of individual who can genuinely strengthen a business, rather than simply fill a role.

Moonlight was founded on a simple belief: recruitment in design and build should be better. Too often it feels rushed, transactional or driven by short-term targets. We wanted to build a search firm that does the opposite: one that takes the time to understand people, uses real industry experience to offer useful judgement, and focuses on decisions that strengthen careers and businesses over the long term.
All of us have worked within design and build. We know the pressures, the pace and the responsibility that comes with senior roles. That’s why we approach every search with care, discretion and a clear sense of what “good” looks like.
